Ok well then i would agree with the argument that there is still small racial injustices in society today, but they are minor, and the U.S. would still be in the top 10 countries in the world in terms of racial equality. So when people kneel during the anthem, and shit on America, right before they stand and pay respect to a foreign anthem, i have zero sympathy for them. Im pretty sure you wont find a single person here who thinks that people DONT have a right to peacefully protest.
The argument is whether or not its a good idea to shit on the country that made you a millionaire as a means of protesting.
When you hear the grievances from Kaepernick its almost comical, one of the reasons he thinks we are racist is cause he went with his two white parents (must have been nazis) who adopted him, to a resort, and someone at the resort asked him why he was there.

When i was young i was overweight, and kids teased me, do you hear a non stop media drone about how overweight people are oppressed? Guess what there is assholes in society and there always will be, and lots of people have to face lots of bullshit growing up, why is the grievances of a black kid who got bullied any more valid than any other kid who got bullied, for any number of reasons.
The reason why its more important is because the liberals have no argument anymore, their entire platform consists of accusing the other side of being a bigot.
And look where it has gotten us, are we living in the most peaceful harmonious, society in history, or have race relations gotten even worse? Seems to me like every problem the democrats try to solve, they only made the problem worse.
You wont ever have a real debate on the issue, because the facts just destroy these guys argument from the get go. But if they want to have that opinion its fine, Trump went too far in saying they should be fired, but its most certainly not a "white nationalist" issue when 65% of the country thinks they should stand for the flag, unless the far left zealots at CNN think that 65% of the country is racist.

I would say neither. These are personal decisions that each of them made, and possibly reqreted later, or later recognized they had made the right decision for the time. Let's give then the same respect that we give everyone else for their accomplishments and contributions to our society.
One thing that bothers me a great deal is the idea that going off and killing people you have never met is necessarily a good thing if your government tells you it is. It may be; it may not be. Let' stop putting teenagers in the line of fire! (Not that Coffee was a teenager when he made that decision.) We made a mistake when we said old enough to fight and die for your country; old enough to vote. We got that backwards. It should have been you are not old enough to fight and die for your country until you are old enough to vote.
There is something systemically wrong with any country that has known only a few days in 250 years when it wasn't at war with someone. Time to rethink things!

Yeh, sure, and that could become the next NFL argument: "there is something wrong with a country that has to have police stationed in black communities year after year."
As I said. it's not exactly clear to me what the NFL players are protesting and I would guess that is because they are not all quite sure themselves. But I do think if the President was to resign or be impeached and convicted, these protests would stop. I believe his nationalism -- which like everything else with him, is flexible depending on who is within earshot -- is destructive. He is clearly a racist and has a long well documented history of racism. He is a divider,not a unifier. He calls for violence at his rallies. This is no one to be leading a civilized nation. We need to rid ourselves of him as quickly as possible. Why are some people overlooking these thing. It's a sickness within our nation.
I see. Nice theory if you overlook the fact that the protests began with Kopernicks taking the knee when Obama was president. Oh, I see. If Hillary had been elected they would have stopped.
Might want to tidy that theory up a little before going on the road with it.
No, I don't think that's it. That's too simple. It's is more complicated. And it isn't just Trump.
What are the players protesting now? Have you thought about it? Do you know?
Not that it matters, but i think it is spelled 'Kaepernick.' It seems as if he was blazing a trail for those to follow.

This is the exact problem. Exactly what the players are protesting has been entirely lost in the controversy if kneeling for the national anthem is disrespectful. Nor can any of the players properly articulate exactly what they are protesting.
All this means is the the players need to find a better way to protest so their entire message is not totally lost in their selected method of protest. The players also need to find an articulate spokesperson to state clearly what they are protesting.
