Yep. Properly moderate Democrats who respect and will not deter or restrict the first amendment and the second amendment rights of its' citizens.
Nashville and Memphis both voted for Hillary
Cons tries to priase the success of the southern states but in most cases the success in those states is mostly do to the big democrat run cities.

Democratic governance in Memphis and Nashville is not very much like modern current Democratic governance in Chicago or New York City or Los Angeles.
For cultural reasons that transcends politics your typical Southern urban Democrat is NOT going to want to legislate social change and compel identity politics or PC themes through legislative activism. Chances are your typical Memphis or Nashville Democrat will be an active Christian practitioner or at the very least come from a Christian upbringing - likely Southern Baptist. Heritage and polite manners are important to all Southerners. Liquor stores are not open on Sundays by law. Nashville and Memphis are not sanctuary cities. Memphis or Nashville would not prosecute an Evangelical baker for referring a gay couple to another baker. You should expect that a considerable percentage of Southern Democrats are going to own at least one firearm. In Memphis and Nashville there are enhanced Castle Doctrine laws - if a perpetrator breaks into your home or your car with you in it; or if someone threatens your life publicly with deadly force, you can use deadly force to protect yourself without fear of legal prosecution or personal tort liability. Black Democrats in Memphis and Nashville range from ambivalent to negative towards abortion and are for the most ambivalent to negative on gay rights. Memphis will spend public funds to commemorate Martin Luther King Day but expect negligible public enthusiasm and zero public funding for LGBT Awareness. By law restaurants and gas stations are all required to have restrooms available to the public and to patrons. Nobody's going to fire a public employee for wishing someone 'Merry Christmas'. If you're standing in line at the DMV and a civil servant wishes you a 'Blessed Day' after taking your picture don't bother complaining if you feel offended. Most Tennessee public school districts use corporal punishment - students with disabilities are excluded by law.
Both voted for Hillary over Trump so they are even less like the modern republican party.
