Both voted for Hillary over Trump so they are even less like the modern republican party.
Does not matter in the least. It does not matter if every major city in the United States votes Democratic. It won't win the Senate majority outright, or the House majority outright, or the Presidency outright. If you can't carry the suburbs and at least stay somewhat competitive in the rural areas it will only take you so far.
Madison Wisc voted 67% for HRC but Trump carried Wisconsin. Philadelphia PA voted 62 % for HRC but Trump carried Pennsylvania. Ann Arbor voted 67% for HRC but Trump carried Michigan. Cleveland went 56% for HRC but Trump carried Ohio.
You guys pissing all over the red states love to play up your elitist urban superiority complex bullshit but Trump won the suburbs and Trump crushed in the rural counties.
Obama in 2014 played the elitist hand, and in 2016 HRC played the elitist hand. And look where it got the Democratic Party.
You can thank Obama for Neil Gorsuch (2014 second midterm elections) and you can thank Hillary (2016 general election) for Brett Kavanaugh.
Keep up your blue state urban superiority complex bullshit. "Basket of deplorables". Working nicely for you. The working middle class who vote in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin really ate it up.
