Answer this...would walmart be laying off thousands if Clinton got elected? Answer: Yes because it has to do with putting in more self checkouts.

Would they also be giving out bonuses if Trump lost? Answer: No, because Clinton would've raised taxes.
 
Perhaps the California legislature should confiscate 1/2 of every "bonus" paid to workers as a result of the tax cut.

Agreed, there won't be any bonuses if Trump lost, however there won't have been a 300 billion a year structural deficit either.

You could give EVERYONE a $1000 bonus and beyond with that amount of money, I mean we are talking 3 trillion over a decade - tell me how that is a good thing.

The "free money" thing is a pure populist play.

Countless examples of this. In Colombia, Escobar was a genius at buying the poor with pennies while robbing them of everything. Perhaps an extreme example however one I know best. All to create a guard of loyal suckers around him.

What direction is the tax cut money going? It is a vertical waterfall.

I am perfectly fine with tariffs on washing machines, solar, well as long as the US panels are not too inferior and real effort is put in to R&D. America first stuff.. Whirlpool first anyway (follow the money? :) can backfire if applied ham-fistedly.

For the bottom 40% the risk of Trump over-promising and under-delivering is very very high.

First -- you need to get your facts straight.
It is Sam's Club, not Walmart laying off workers.

Retail analysts have urged for years that under-performing Sam's Club locations should be shut down. Now that the company finally does this all the liberal "investors" on this forum are complaining. I guess they don't understand how business works.

Besides nearly all of those laid off Sam's Club employees found a job -- at Walmart.

Time will tell, what the outcome of Trump actions will be. I hope from the bottom of my heart that my instincts on outcome will be proven wrong.

Who owns Sam's club?

I understand how business works which is why I mock people who try to attribute job gains to Trump for something that is natural business process.

Why the fallacious reasoning is what I ask, why is he responsible for only job gains but not losses. If one simply looks at trends, job growth is the slowest in six years - but he is not responsible for that? How convenient.
