Was there a study done regarding the layers of ice in the artic which show that certain climate events happened in the past at much slower rates than are happening today? Some idiot was telling me that today but I can't find any proof.

Yeah, did nothing of the sort. They just, as the email said, played a little "trick" with the data. Does "science" include playing "tricks" with data? Its amazing, the data showed no warming, then they played a little "trick" with the data, then all the sudden it showed warming. Amazing. Your boy Michael Mann got caught red-handed again. Just deny everything and act as if nothing has happened and that will make the problem go away, it certainly worked with Tiger Woods.

I would rather play tricks with the data and hide the decline. That seems more suitable.

Someone told me that the ice cores showed either CO2 level increases that used to take hundreds of thousands of years and showed that they were occuring now in only hundreds of years. Something like that. How that proves anytthing I'm not sure but if anyone knows what I'm babbling about please full in the blanks.

Saw a climate scientist on the telly giving some data from ice cores. He said:
The highest pre-industrial CO2 levels measured in 750,000 years of ice cores is 290ppm. When coming out of the last 8 ice ages, it took 1000 years for CO2 to rise 30ppm. CO2 now is 382ppm, it rose 30ppm in the last 17 years.
