Climate change is on ice

Quote from Ricter:

Why don't we include the last time CO2 levels rose so rapidly? Oh, right, there has been no such time.
Why don't we include the sand on Orlando's Beaches? Oh, right, there isn't any.

And now for some positive news about global warming...

Giant Freighter Is First to Cross Northwest Passage
http://www.newser.com/story/174987/...passage.html?utm_medium=fark&utm_campaign=pop

For the first time, a major freighter has crossed the Northwest Passage in the Arctic, reports the Toronto Globe and Mail. The 735-foot Nordic Orion achieved the feat this week when it entered Baffin Bay. Doing so shaved 1,000 nautical miles off the usual route through the Panama Canal and saved the freighter's Danish operators about $80,000 worth of fuel, reports Reuters.

The fact that the ship burned less fuel than normal might be a small silver lining for environmentalists—until they see its cargo: coal, and lots of it, bound from British Columbia to Finland. And because the freighter didn't have to pass through the shallow Panama Canal, it was able to carry 25% more of the stuff, reports the National Post.

Yes, the displayed chart shows the natural warming of the earth since 1850 or so. Note that the default chart also clearly demonstrates that there is no warming since 1996.

You are still confusing atmospheric temperatures with the temperature of the earth. They are not the same.

CO2 rise LAGS global temperature by 800 years as outlined in multiple peer reviewed papers by leading scientists.

Yes in the past temperature led CO2. They did not have 9 billion tons of CO2 per year being pumped into the air via the burning of fossil fuels. It was mostly cosmological/solar cycle driven.

The current data shows CO2 leading temps higher. The recent data is the most reliable and indisputable and the most relevant.

Some recent analysis of the temp/CO2 data shows them essentially in lock step in the past. Also at least one study shows CO2 leading temps higher in the past.

Let's plot the British Met Office CRUTEM3 global temperature data set - shocking no global temperature increase since 1996.

trend

Want to plot your own graphs based on the CRUTEM3 or CRUTEM4 global temperature data sets or do a comparison - here is the graphing url
http://www.woodfortrees.org/plot/cr...ast:360/trend/plot/crutem3vgl/last:360/trend/

What to download the British Met CRUTEM3 or CRUTEM4 raw data and associated information to plot your own analysis - here is the url
http://www.cru.uea.ac.uk/cru/data/temperature/

Unlike FC some of us have actually downloaded, plotted, and evaluated the raw data from the British Met, NOAA, East Anglia, and other sources. Sadly for the global climate change promoters - the actual data demonstrates a complete lack of man-made warming.

Oh yes, a complete lack of warming. Let's ignore that the oceans have not paused in their warming at all and just look at the more variable air temps.

This is from NOAA also. Not up to date but the temps are currently at about the same high as on the chart.

The story is a hoax, no such ship passed through the NW Passage, nor could one have.

You mean all the reporting from CNN, ABC, Canadian National Post, Reuters, CBS, Globe & Mail, plus the video is all a lie.

The only hoax here is that global warming is caused by man.

Do you know that in order for "An Inconvenient Truth" to be shown in British schools, numerous errors must be edited out - or the teacher must provide an explanation of 9 critical errors in the film as ruled by the British high court.

Gore climate film's nine 'errors'

A High Court judge who ruled on whether climate change film, An Inconvenient Truth, could be shown in schools said it contains nine scientific "errors".

Mr Justice Burton said the government could still send the film to schools - if accompanied by guidance giving the other side of the argument.

you are such a troll.

the survey which showed it was not 97% but .3 percent was published in a respected peer reviewed journal.

It was not the website. That website... the most viewed climate website in the world... simply wrote about the paper.

Abstract
Agnotology is the study of how ignorance arises via circulation of misinformation calculated to mislead. Legates et al. (Sci Educ 22:2007–2017, 2013) had questioned the applicability of agnotology to politically-charged debates. In their reply, Bedford and Cook (Sci Educ 22:2019–2030, 2013), seeking to apply agnotology to climate science, asserted that fossil-fuel interests had promoted doubt about a climate consensus. Their definition of climate ‘misinformation’ was contingent upon the post-modernist assumptions that scientific truth is discernible by measuring a consensus among experts, and that a near unanimous consensus exists. However, inspection of a claim by Cook et al. (Environ Res Lett 8:024024, 2013) of 97.1 % consensus, heavily relied upon by Bedford and Cook, shows just 0.3 % endorsement of the standard definition of consensus: that most warming since 1950 is anthropogenic. Agnotology, then, is a two-edged sword since either side in a debate may claim that general ignorance arises from misinformation allegedly circulated by the other. Significant questions about anthropogenic influences on climate remain. Therefore, Legates et al. appropriately asserted that partisan presentations of controversies stifle debate and have no place in education.

Really? Gee, who should we believe? A whore meteorologist like Watts? Or NASA?

Your such a good loyal fanatical sheep co-liar.

This what NASA says

Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities.

A sane person would believe NASA over a whore TV weatherman.
