I sim traded for something like 8 months before trading live, and then was very particular about my setups. I think I had a short bias in my trading back then, expecting the market to crash badly at any time (this was 5 weeks before the flash crash). I remember one day the inventory number was "bearish" (like as if I have any idea how to interpret that report) and I didn't take a single trade until finally after two hours of pure uptrend (where I could've made a solid month's pay), I shorted on a lower high setup and probably scalped .20 :eek:
