You can just look at the volume and the PA. Both increase at the open and can decrease after the close (but not necessarily after the close) which are the times you've indicated. Good luck with your studies.Quote from Laissez Faire:

Volume seems to start picking up an hour prior to the pit open. I`m trying to conduct some historical studies and not 100% sure how much data to include.
