NT has a problem rolling over contracts...I think I read about this on their support forums...

Click on "Tools" ==>Options

Then click Data Tab...
Under historical Chart data, Make sure "merge policy" is set to "DoNotMerge"

That should fix it.

Thanks for the tip.

Thanks tlow. :) I was trying to remember how that went. I used it before. I've been having so many problems with the data feed to NT 7 I've been using NT 6.5. When I switched instruments within a chart from the drop down menu, all of the data disappeared and then wouldn't even come back when I switched back to the original instrument.

No problem duders...and duderets

BCE, what feed are you using? When i was setting up NT (v.7)...there were all sorts of issues with firewalls and ip stuff.

Shoot me a PM if you have issues...it may be that your firewall is blocking an ip and/or ports. I have all the NT ips and ports as well as Rithmic/ZenFire. But if you are using someone else, you may want to concact the support desk and ask them for a list of ports then need open and the associated ips.

I'm using Zen-Fire through Mirus and running Windows 7 Pro. I'll PM you. Thanks. :)

The Essential Analysis Steps: Trend, Condition, and Compatible Action

http://www.decisionpoint.com/TAcourse/TAcourse01.html

Technical analysis will not predict the future, but it will help you assess the market environment so you can act in concert with the dominant context. To do this we use a simple process involving three essential analysis steps:

(1) Determine the market trend; (2) Evaluate the market condition; and (3) Identify and initiate actions that are most compatible with the trend and condition of the market.

I think the bulls will try to lunge for yesterday's close. We might even hit your target (84.80) in the Globex. Good luck!

I should have taken my own advice to heart and stuck with the hedge.

Adding to existing short @ 84.70

Stop on entire position lowered to 85.60-ish.

(Frankly, getting downright tired of swinging, sitting through all this chop. Perhaps I should pick up the daytrading bat again.)
