CL Redux

Quote from gov:

Yeah, I see that, thanks. Sometimes on a swing trade you have to take a bit of heat. I know to the daytrading mentality this is difficult to understand; but one must compartmentalize and adapt. Pull any chart and the trend is up.

Gov, looks like support held where support was supposed to hold. Make some money! :)

When you guys trade CL do you have your MAs from 00:00 to 23:59:99?

Thanks

Dont use MAs, however on a 24hr chart start and end time dont matter for a MA calc.

Stop-limit at .73 to get short; 10 tick stop; target 30 ticks

:20, if it doesn't break down on the next push, cancel and long at .80-ish, target .20-ish; lotto-stop (<10 ticks)

:35 was about to cancel when got filled short at .73

:39 still holding; after hours and with yesterday's LOD at .52 not the best short ever, but gold was going down fast

:43 stopped out at -10 ticks.

Thanks for replying.

very slow day.

Friday's RTH range was over 2 pts and I extract 64 ticks. Today's RTH range was less than 70 ticks and I extract 76 ticks.

My trading theme song:

Home, home on the range
Where the bulls and the bears like to play
Where channel lines hold, where you've bought and you've sold,
And you pull from this mess, a day's pay.

:p

Fading failed breakouts, I take it, not trading them :)

You betcha. I played no breakouts today, though 84.71 was quite tempting a little while ago.
