But then again, I faintly remember a similar head fake made on 1/11. It went up for about a buck and then reversed hard. Does this damn thing always do this before reversing?

I haven't been day trading trading oil for years, I'm new to intraday, but from what I have seen if they want to reverse it, they will sell into good news. They woulda been selling into 82 at 1030 and it would have went down from there. I think people got caught by this. I'm not really sure oil wanted to go along for the fall. Gold, copper were dumping for some time before oil went along.
