Inventory numbers from American Petroleum Institute are released.
Thanks. What service/website do you use to keep an eye on upcoming oil news?

I think someone posts your question every tuesday afternoon.
The api #s come out at 430est every tuesday. They are grey since reporting is optional.
The eia #'s come out on Wednesday at 1030est.
These are the true #'s since reporting to the eia is mandatory.
If its a holiday week they both come out 1day later

Thanks, sorry for the repeat. I assume then that the API numbers on tuesday require a subscription to access?

Truth be told, I don't. I believe that if the fundamentals are significant enough, they will show up on the chart. Keep in mind that the official inventory is released by the EIA tomorrow. For the last 3 weeks, the two inventory numbers have moved the market in different directions following their release. Frankly, these weekly numbers are hocus-pocus in my eyes.

I'd agree. I'm more interested in staying out of the market when news is being released and something like this API release wasn't listed on bloomberg's or forexfactory's calendar.

Damn, I will NEVER trade between the hours of 16:00 and 3:00 EST!

Talk about a slowass market. Why is it that ES and CL doesn't go anywhere while the Asian market is open but get back into the groove when our fellow European idiots are in full swing?

the currency futures move a little after 8pm est I like 6A and 6E. And if you never sleep coffee starts moving at 3 which by the way made a lower high on the daily and looks like it finally going to breach the 100day. But I wouldn't short coffee with my own money :p
