Quote from JoshDance:

Something like 'the markets still believe in our AAA credit rating' ... uh huh, did you see that the S&P is down 60 points, mr. prez? :D

Leaving politics aside, it's a bit more complicated. Treasuries - which are more closely related to the belief or lack thereof in the US solvency than the stock market is - are holding just fine. Lots of trouble in Europe, Japan mired in its perennial state of semi-recession, China and India past their days of wine and roses, etc.

Do any of you guys have a redundant internet setup? Perhaps just one that works for me would be good. I have Charter .. terrible. [/QUOTE]

I do (in Europe, by Vodafone), it's a DSL router that also has a 3G mobile pen-drive connected so if it loses the land-line, it automatically connects via mobile.

Good point re: treasuries. But it's safe to say with a 200 point drop in the s&p since last Monday, investors aren't exactly thrilled about the condition of the US economy.

Very cool stuff there--I will have to look into and see if we have anything similar here where I live.

Short .60

Wish I could say I was still short 200 ticks ago ;-) ET seems to have died earlier so juts now updating. Took about 4 trades on the way down, shorting just keeps working, I'm taking 15-20 each time. Even now 20 mins after pit close just got a nice 20 ticker. This market is freefalling.

Was out and just got back. Played the R2K, TF, instead and made about $1500 on that bounce. Quite a selloff earlier. Heard the DOW was down over 600 at one point. Anyone calling for crude to $150 by years end? :)

ADD: If I flipped it I would have doubled my money. :) CSW :)
