Civil discourse on gun control

Really? No other person in the entire crowd said anything remotely supporting this guy, whom you know absolutely nothing about. And CNN would risk its credibility in so blatant and risky a manner? Why? Because there wasn't enough public outrage about guns already and they had to stoke the flames just to keep it going? Seriously?

Sure, you "weighed" the available facts and then drew the conclusion that suits you.

CNN has risked it's credibility many times and been caught before. Regardless, neither one of us is going to change the opinion of the other, so I'm going to focus my discussion on gun control, thanks.

Let's take a look at CNN's lengthy history of town hall plants and arranging scripted questions. The question part is usually done by emailing the questions the audience member will ask in advance and confirming they agree to stick with the designated question.

This is the event where voters from South Carolina and North Carolina were given scripted questions from CNN to ask the candidates.

WTF? Emptying your closet of garbage? Your idiot slant pieces do not show in any way that CNN scripted any questions for any members of a town hall meeting. You're the one who's full of it.

CNN has emailed scripted questions for people to ask at town halls and other forums -- over and over again.

"CNN would risk its credibility in so blatant and risky a manner?" --- why yes, they have over and over again.

Try google -- you will find many examples of CNN's behavior over and over again.

Now that it has come out into broad public view due to the students assertions regarding CNN in relation to the Florida schools shooting - I believe we are about to get testimony from many people who experienced the same thing from CNN over the past 5 years.

Please keep it civil. Gwb has not attacked you at all in this thread. His issue was with CNN.

It would be better if he got back on topic to gun control.

At this point CNN's behavior regarding scripted questions in town halls has a lengthy documented history. Any basic google search will demonstrate this.

I didn't attack gwb. I attacked his idiot slant pieces, none of which implicated CNN. In any event, I'll take my leave now.

When you tell someone they have idiot slant pieces and then call them "full of it", you're going after the person.

If we are unable to be civil to each other, we can pick any number of other threads to call each other names.

Have a great day.
