City Forced To Lower Police Testing Standards Because Not Enough Blacks Passed

You really think that would happen? If so then some brilliant genius would probably get rich really quick by opening gas stations all the way from Idaho to Cali which would serve black people. In any case, it's 2011, pay outside with your CC. Also, if a store owner didn't like black people, would they not sell the gas to them, so that the black people were stuck there, while also depriving themselves of income? That doesn't make much sense does it...

What you're talking about is a hypothetical scenario which would be a total non issue in real life... And either way, it doesn't circumvent a private business owner's right to decide who he will or will not do business with, for any reason whatsoever.

Quote from RCG Trader:

U know, I get, philosophically, where you are coming from. Ur burger joint is hypothetical, get bring your point into bas relief, so I can refute it. But total autonomy will not work, it never has. It will be exploited. Now it is possible that in today's America, the market will punish this behavior, but I don't want to be in Idaho, on my way to Cali, and not able to refuel because they don't serve my kind/

The post is now a part of the permanent record, you obviously said that anyone with a private business should be allowed to cater to whatever customers he chooses to. So, if you own a burger joint, and only want to serve Chinese, that is your right. Really?
You can put that statement on my permanent record if you want. I agree with it.

As far as the bounds of liberty, and the (extreme) libertarian position, I've never understoond them drawng the line at physical violence. Rand must have been a wimp, or a chick.

If I was born with size, strength, speed, and cunning, why should my ability to surprise and strangle you bare-handed for your wallet be curtailed? You should have been stronger, quicker, more alert, etc. I'm sorry you weren't, but that's life. If I can get the drop on you with a sidearm, or get you in my sights with a rifle, well, you should have been more alert, more cautious.

Really, why draw the line of liberty at physical violence, if it's ok to have symbolic violence (such as denying you gasoline, food, or medical care based on... whatever I don't like about you)?

; )

No, but government has to provide a framework for operation. That is necessary. I don't want to be in a situation where a hospital will not serve after an assault, because they do not serve "my kind". This has happened in a more immature America, and yes, people did die because of it.

I agree with RCG Trader's position in this thread.

The last thing we need is to go back to discrimination.

This country is all aready f'd up enough as it is. :(

What percentage of minorities should the government dictate I have in my circle of friends?

Ur circle of friends is your business, unless u run a gas station.

If it's truly my gas station then that's my business too.

Denial of basic goods and services infringes on the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness of all who need your gas. And that is why there is a federal government.

Leave it to a moonbat like you to not understand the difference between murder and not serving someone a burger.
