Am I correct in assuming that the logic of your statement ( at least the first manifistation of it ) that those traders who hold to a faith, are somehow less able to succeed in the business of trading ?

Christ is killed that "the universe" may live. The universe, therefore, is a metaphor for a dead Christ. But a dead Christ cannot be the truth....because Christ is Life itself. Christ is really alive...not dead. So then, what is this "the universe"? It must be a dream. Resurrection is the sign of awakening. To awaken, you must roll away the stone that blocks your mind from opening. Let the light shine in. Open your mind and recieve peace.

Christ is "risen"...present tense...NOW.
Or,
Christ is "dead"...present tense...now.

You have to decide which is the truth.
If Christ is risen, then "the universe" must be false.


The truth is, there is no world.
It is but the stuff of dreams.
Arise, awaken you sleeping ones!

zzzz - you should take the time to understand the beliefs you so often bash.

God sent his son so that we may have life everlasting, his son died on the Cross - he rose on the third day, he is risen, he will come again.

While I suspect time is meaningless for God - as we see time unfolding it is perfectly correct to say he is risen. We are in the middle of God's plan for us. Hence, he is risen shows a better understanding than to say he rose.

Christ is believed to have risen from the dead a long time ago. (Past tense, not present tense).

He is not risen from the dead today, unless he rose from the dead today.

It is this type of response of yours that is a factor in why Christianity is on the decline in America today. Christianity is on its way to becoming a past tense religion if the trend continues...

No one who has command of the English language goes around saying "Moses is come down from the Mountain to give us God's law."

In order to bring this dead metaphor back to life, I will interpret it correctly...NOW.

Jesus is a metaphor for "us". But then, who are "we"? We are "Christ crucified". The story of Jesus is the story of everyone and everything this side of the "big bang"...which is a metaphor for a shot-gun blast to the head. Think of galaxis, stars and planets as drops of blood...splattered all over the inside of a tomb. Likewise, think of biological "life" as drops of blood from a dead Christ. The irony is that Christ is so alive that even when Christ is "dead", it seems like "life". But what walks and talks is not necessarily "life"...as Jesus taught Life to be.

To understand how Christ "rises", one must understand how Christ "died". So we must go to the beginning of death in order to find the end of death. The beginning of the death of Christ is "sin", which is unbelief in Christ. Unbelief in Christ precedes the "big bang".

To understand the metaphor you quoted, we must understand that what is true about Jesus is true about us. Likewise, what is false about Jesus is false about us. Jesus is not dead, but alive in Christ...as Christ. Likewise, we are not dead, but alive in Christ...as Christ. Going from "death" to "life" is a matter of opening the proverbial "tomb" of a closed mind.
