Quote from Maverick74:
There are far too many conspiracy theories here regarding the media. Look, there is no deliberate attempt by the right, or the left, to brainwash you or promote an agenda. The media is the sum total of it's parts. And those parts are individuals who went to journalism school and bring whatever bias and background they have to the table to deliver the news through their point of view. Take the tin foil hats off. The best advice I have is to not get your information all from one source. Problem solved. This is Jon Stewart's greatest flaw. His argument is that FOX is "different" because they present a different side to a story when in fact his argument should be for the viewer or reader to seek out all sides to an argument, both conservative and liberal.

You must not read the Washington Post or NY Times much. They relentlessly push their agenda, usually in supposed news reports rather than editorials.
Quote from Maverick74:
What I am saying is that just like with FOX News, there are no orders being sent down from up above telling these people what to say and write. They just happen to all be liberal!!!!!

I'm not so sure about that...

I love seeing how angry these liberals really are. John Stewart was almost snarling. When you corner a liberal, they can't come back with any intelligence, or common sense; they come back with with anger. Guess they're pissed that the majority of America doesn't buy their bullshit anymore.

Yes, I do read them but listen to what I'm saying. It's not the NY Times specifically that is pushing the agenda, it's the individual writers at the NY Times pushing their agendas.
Look, we all know that most of the people in the media are liberal. So collectively as a group, they are extremely liberal. What I am saying is that just like with FOX News, there are no orders being sent down from up above telling these people what to say and write. They just happen to all be liberal!!!!! There is no conspiracy here. Same is true with FOX news or the Washington Times. There are no marching orders given by the Murdochs, etc. The conservative commentators on FOX happen to give a conservative point of view. Shocking!
What I have said before and what I will continue to say, is my beef is not in the point of view of FOX or MSNBC, but rather how they PRESENT that point of view.
