EURUSD
I switched on my laptop, and instead of being 100 odd pips down, I was now only about 4 or 5. Once it dipped under 1.2219 again, my stop loss which had been moved down to protect a profit position came in and took profits. A paltry 14 pips on two short positions. Still I was sooooo happy to see that nearly straight line downwards. I bit pissed off I didn't add to my short positions at 1.2330, where I knew I should but couldn't be arsed to do anything about it... great attitude eh? Silly sod = me.

I'm now short again from 1.2242 and 1.2232, stop loss (mental) at 1.2280 for both and tp at 1.2205 for both.

ps. Skalpz, I heard that a container load of women from China work out the best value for money, but you gotta be quick before they revalue the yuan...
 
My dear EUR/YEN is going up and I don't know why, so it seems to be a big players game, sure it'd be a down prior ~ 1-2 hours to Greenspan. Or may be it's just a technical correction? God knows:confused:

update: As I now think Greenspan's will affect even EUR/YEN that's why Asians decided to move it up a little in order to protect a fall to 130,5 or so. It seems Greenspan will rise rates based on that currency behaviour...will see in 30 minutes:D

update: prior 20 minutes to Greenspan I close my EUR/YEN position @ 131.59 75,2 pips - not bad for first trade on oanda:)

I've been scalping, although inadvertantly at first, by locking in profit and having a buy order just above my original position, so far its been working and have banked 30 pips. Now short at 38 and 40, waiting Greenspan. Where can I details, bloomberg tv??

Leaving on a jet plane. Talk to you guys when I get back in 10 days or so. I loaded up on lots of GBP/JPY @ 195.50ish for the time I'm gone to enjoy the interest. I think I'll make more in interest than the vacation will cost me (minus the ring, of course). How's that for fun?

Have a fun at Greece, and yeah, of course, put all of your money at forex during it.....when you come to Moscow you will have much more stimuls to work for your company:D ...joke!!!

Did ok today, short at 1.2248 EURUSD, TP at 1.2187 got hit so banked 61 pips.

Long GBPJPY at 195.46 and unfortunately fell asleep with tp set at a moderate 47 pip profit and so far at time of writing its at 196.40 odd, thats nearly 50 pips more.

Also was long USDJPY at 107.51 got spooked and move tp to 107.53 just as a get out if I fell asleep, I didn't initially like that price I got in at once I'd pulled the trigger anyway.

Thanks Ivan for the heads up on GBPJPY this morning the price looked good to me, and I checked the link in my email to this thread, so your price and thought yep go for it. Now wish I'd thrown larger lots at it, and help for longer, but then I hindsight is easier to win the lottery with than this ;)

Starting to claw back some of my losses, grapling with fear and greed some of the most difficult things, but I'm getting there, I just close the laptop lid and walk away when I feel agitated to do anything. 9 times out of 10 its for the best!

Where do you guys think is next for the EURUSD, some kind of retrace, or now a continued fall to 1.20** ?

Now its cleanly below 1.2200, would that become the psychological resistance barrier now?

I think it's a pure speculators' move, buying the USD.

It will end.

And when it does, look for a major retracement.

Possibly in excess of 3-cents.

I was thinking of a retrace, but something like 100-200 pips, not much more, and then a drop below 1.2000. I think the Euro is still weak fundamentally.

I'm staying out now, all square on all positions. Made another 16 pips on riding the EURUSD wave just that little bit lower, then couldn't be arsed to keep an eye on it, and have a busy weekend and monday with my business, so don't want to be thinking about the forex! lol. Today made over 120 pips all together, but could have been over 200, oh well, its the way the cookie crumbles...

Oh, and hope you've done well in the forex aswell... I know them websites can be a right distraction... lol ;-)
