Chinook's EUR/USD (E/$)Mumblings

Quote from Gringinho:

No, the guy was talking about 1.35+ EURUSD and USDJPY 95. I don't know if I missed saying that. He believed in a retrace this year, then the higher targets next year.

I tend to agree. :)

I listened closely to most of that interview, but I didn't think the justification for a pullback in the EUR/USD worked. I don't look at stochastics any more but its hard to say that the Euro is overbought looking at a daily chart. Furthermore, anyone that wasn't convinced that the Euro would appreciate by a significant amount a couple of weeks ago probably changed their mind after the recent price action and Uncle Alan's commentary. In my mind, large spec long positions doesn't mean a reversal if the players have just settled on a farther 10% to 20% USD fall being a given.

Hope that I'm not talking out my ass. :)

I'm pausing here (not that anyone really cares :)), going to buy another package on a break above 1.3020 and than another on a break above 1.3050. I expect the break of 1.3050 to come right around NY open today.

I feel like a contrarian with you guys, because I shorted the "extension" on the EURUSD. I just did it to take the EURJPY leg into play ...
The stalling of the USDJPY is boring me a little.

Didn't get more than 6 ticks though - but think it can get lower unless Neal is not backing off anytime soon. I'm not taking "the other side" on the back of your trade information - just saw a quick opportunity.

edit: ok, just missed that notice by him - but seems that there still are some similar players pushing the EURUSD - and my USDJPY looks nicer on the back of this ... +16 now.

edit2: of course I should have gotten in on the +20 move by Neal and you guys , but can't be successful on every notice ...

I'm going to grab some ZZZs I wish I could stay up and play these pullbacks but I got class in the am !

Limit order in at 1.3055 to sell out.

Nice up move on the EURJPY there ... :D
Will not yield - better wait for US session for better liquidity - but long USDJPY is the best side of that leg on levels above 103.45 I guess.

EURUSD little moved on back of this - which shows the intention of the quick move on EURJPY.

I guess I should have stayed in longer on short EURUSD too ... :) :)

Hedge fund strengthening USD again ? Probably last chance before opening bell in EU. Anyways, nice scalp there on EURJPY if anyone got that one.

Quote from Ivanovich:

Er...it's tanking again. More buy op?

I'd be careful so far with EURUSD ... but then again, I'm a equity-size fearful scalper. :D

I hope you guys have proper stop limit and exit strategies ... someone are "shagging" the moves. :)

I won't stop nagging about the USDJPY move here until we see 0.009710s - i.e around 103.08-area.
