China cant be replaced. If that were so the change would have taken place already. We as a country have become to reliant on them, as much as people want made in America they will NOT pay the price. Prices here are already inflated enough, you really think people are going to spend thousands and thousands more a year for a product built or made in America. Think again. Haha. Not happening. It's our own fault for letting manufacturing jobs leave the US over the last 50+ years. It didnt have to happen but when a company only cares about profits and revenues that's what you get.

I'm going to continue and disagree, China has the upper hand in the trade war and come December 15th you will see why once again China is the powerhouse in the trade war.

Funny I remembered not too long ago, back in the 80s, we said the same about Japan.

40% of Americans have passports... majority probably have them for Canada, Mexico, central America and perhaps some for Europe... I am guessing those who have traveled to China maybe around 2%....

yet there are so many arm chair experts commenting on the trade war every time there is a turn in the negotiation.

I can't afford the $140 visa fee to visit China.

China still does not make "the best stuff". Everything made in China is carcinogenic and breaks 2 months into warranty. At least 40 years of this shit now.

You are too young to remember that in post WW II, in the 50s and 60s, all the cheap knockoffs were made in Japan. Edward Deming our quality guru taught Japan how to build quality products.
