I'm pretty tired of "science" and their predictions. I guess the proper definition of "science" is "logic could be good or bad, assumptions are never seriously questioned". That allows "scientists" to build a belief system that satisfies them. They protect said belief system by owning the venue for the debate. People that don't share the belief system are kept from/evicted from the debate venue.
Before the first moon landing "science" predicted several feet of dust would be on the moon. The Moon Lander was built with some landing gear to accommodate that. There was just a little dust on the moon's surface. Rational people would look at that and change their assumptions about the age of the solar system. "Science" can't do that, it defies their belief system that they are sooooooo invested in. They made up some weak arguments like they always do and went on about their day. That is how they protect their cherished belief system. They own the venue for the debate, they can state that "it was proven to be a fraud" or "this has been thoroughly debunked" without citing any references and nobody inside the belief system will mount a challenge. They would be banned as heretics.
We had all this GW hysteria for decades. We also had a story about a guy that abandoned a plane in the Arctic in WW2. He found it with ground penetrating radar and melted through hundreds of feet of ice to get to it. That didn't fit with "science's" world view so it was ignored. People went to the Bureau of Standards and told them that their ice cores' rings are intraday events, not hundreds of years. Nothing changed...
