The Canadian Right Wing is becoming more so, just as is yours. And just like yours, theirs is the race to the bottom and the past. The present government is not actually the traditional Progressive Conservative party, since it essentially comprises the farther Right Wing Reform/Alliance party along with mere remnants of the PC. The dominant component of the present federal government is Western Canada's oil party. They have been nibbling farther and farther right at the fringes, and I'm just waiting for simple reversion to snap their buzzard necks. Patience.

No, I remained in place. The Alliance party (successor to the Reform party) was to the Right of the Progressive Conservative party. When they merged with the PC, the former Alliance guy led the resulting party and is now the Prime Minister. So the party is Right of the former PC. And so it is with your politics. The center and center Left has largely remained in place. They only appear to be moving left because you are not aware that you are the one who is moving right.
