Did you have to ignore the 13 minute trend today? It seemed like it has crossed many times, almost making it worthless.
I have a system that is very similar to this one, but haven't used it lately because I hate being glued to the computer. It looks like today would be awesome with all the 3-7 point rallies back and forth (if you ignored the 13 minute rule) with the chimp system.

Nice Threath BUT...
A 65 period moving average on a 1 minute chart is NOT THE SAME as a 13 period moving average on a 5 minute chart !!!!

That is probably most easily seen also by those who look at longer term charts.
The 200 day SMA - the mother of all averages - is not the same as the 40 week, a very common average. Yet, for purposes of determining trend direction via the slope, they are very close.

After The Importance of Simplicity thread I wouldn't think you would be too surprised. If you want to really say "wow", check out the length of the thread by Quah called "Something very Simplistic". It was at the top of the charts maybe two months ago. Totally mechanical. For about 3 weeks it ruled, then had some bad days and fell off the charts like an old Boz Skaggs tune.
