eastern time (U.S.) Wed. Dec. 4th?
The S&P was in a down trend since early morning. The 10:18
rebound fooled me.

I'm just getting caught up on this thread. I've read a while back about the moving averages changing while you are in a bar, then they look different when you look at the whole chart at the end of the day.

If you are using Tradestation, your indicators can be set to "update every tick" in realtime. So the moving average is calculated everytime the price changes. In a wide ranging bar, the MA will swing all over the place. By deselecting the update feature on each of your indicators, the MA will print only at the completion of the bar. Trading it this way will match the backtested results, and your realtime chart will look the same as your charts do at the end of the day.
 
Thoughts on Don Miller System....
I do not agree with him on one point. You can't judge SPY by using an ES chart. No way it works out. I tried it.
Also you need the QQQ chart to trade QQQ, not the NQ one. Simply does not correlate anymore.


Thoughts on The Chimp.
It only works on ES or NQ.
I tried it on SPY and QQQ and it was not as good because you need 24 hour data for it to work, and those stocks simply do not trade then.

The Chimp basically is Don Miller's method for Eminis simplified. Both work.:cool:

There is nothing new under the sun. I have no idea who came first? I know reading this board, Don Miller is not an original thinker. Neither am I. Just looking for trades I can manage to make money on.:)
