You know how the lefties all point out that we are all descended from immigrants (the natives included). But NO, we are not all descended from illegal immigrants.

Half of you argue that Trump is the meanest fucker on earth when it comes to deporting and contemplating sending military to the border and putting an end to chain migration.
The other half of you argue that Trump isnt doing anything that Obama didnt do even more of.
You might want to help some of your lefty ilk on cnn and msnbc who need to use oxygen masks now when reporting on how Trump has ramped things up.
Also, the goal is to keep illegals out of this country. Not just deportations. When you do your little calculations of who is doing better, count the reduced numbers of illegal border crossings in with the deportations to show the total number of reductions in illegals. Obama had deportations but was also letting plenty more in to deport than Trump is. As soon as he has finished all the hirings under the new funding, he also has plans to move more out- many more. Unless you think all those new border agents/ICE will be working in DC or something.

Well that Trump does get credit for. There are less people trying to enter the US through the southern border illegally.
That still doesn’t excuse his fucking up the court and detention system.
The Immigration Court (which is part of the Executive Branch BTW) and detention system wad screwed up long before Trump took office. I agree it needs reform. Jon Oliver did a recent segment on it.
Likewise the entire U.S. immigration system needs complete reform.
The "asylum" game needs to be the first to go. And all the illegals know the game. The mexican government and other groups- many California-based- give them all printed material on how to demand asylum status. Knowing that they will be released to community.
But the overwhelming majority of them are either economic refugees or coming from central america where they are both economic refugees and asylum seeks escaping violence. International law, though, says that you must seek asylum in the first country you are enter that is not persecuting you. That would be Mexico for the Central and South Americans. If they choose to go to the United States, then they are then entering as an economic refugee- not an asylum seeker. Most of them know that but they know that they are entitled to a hearing under current American law so they get to be released in to the community and then only a small percentage show up for the hearing because they know what the outcome is going to be.
Congress needs to put an end to that. Also, they need to be deported back to Mexico regardless of the country that they originally came from- if entering from Mexico.

Migrant 'caravan' begins to splinter after Trump raises alarm

The caravan of roughly 1,000 Central Americans moving toward the United States appeared to be splintering into smaller groups as of Wednesday, after drawing the ire of President Trump and capturing the attention of the nation.
The large group has been camped out in the town of Matias Romero in the southern part of Mexico since the weekend, after starting a trek from the Guatemala-Mexico border on March 25. It reached a peak of about 1,500 but a spokesperson for the advocacy group Pueblo Sin Fronteras – which organized the caravan and sought to draw attention to the rights of migrants – told Reuters that many people had broken off and were continuing the route on their own.
“Now they’re separating these groups,” Ellis Garcia told Reuters. “I don’t know what’s the deal, we have no answers.”
