<b>Tell us about your office setup, where do you live (City is good enough), what kind of hardware do you use, what kind of software do you use?

I have an office in the Melbourne CBD. I use several laptop computers, predominately, an Samsung laptop (8Gb Ram, SSD, Win7 x64). I like laptops ahead of desktops because the battery backup provides a redundancy against power failures.
I use OptionVue options analysis software, a custom Excel Spreadsheet and a custom Java application. The Excel Spreadsheet and the Java application interface with the API that comes with Interactive Brokers' Trader Workstation. I execute through TWS </b>

They don't have back up power in the office so hedge fund managers need to use laptops for redundancy? I worry for the investors/

You should rather worry about the returns. People like you seem more interested in how fancy the office is and how many disaster backup centres they have. Return of course always secondary.

Problem is, did he remember to put a battery backup on his router? Having power to your laptop doesn't do a lot of good if there's no internet to execute trades over.

ha, an options' seller, with 1 year's results.

nice scam.

If you look deeper in the thread, Kevin has an audited track record of many years doing this without a losing year. Yes this strategy managed poorly can look like the so called "fiscal cliff" :)

We will be launching a beta version with MT4 support next week. Looking forward to welcoming FX traders to our community.
