Ironic to note: 25% of Canada's GDP are exports to the United States. After the knock-on effect, about 1/3rd of Canada's national income is derived from American consumption. IOW, America foots the bill for Canada's socialist 'utopia'. Most Canadians then turn around, and slam America all day. Just sheer ignorance. But the ironic truth.
You are in fact the ignorant one. Canada has a trade deficit with the US. America doesn't foot the bill for Canada at all. In reality, many American companies rely on Canadian consumers, it's one of their most reliable markets. Start a trade war and it will have a significant impact on the economies in both countries.
And yes, most Canadians think current day US is a joke on many fronts.
ps Money Mathew, the quoted post is an example of the "facts" that end discussions before they even start. What can one really say to pure propaganda that serves no real purpose ? This is now Trump got elected; this reliance on "facts" in the online world is hurting your country the most. Who in their right mind really thinks a guy who lies 84% of the time should be elected, unless they got swayed by a charismatic message of hope ? Americans have to live with whatever Trump does, not Canadians.
