Canadian Economy outperforming US on almost every relative metric.

I believe Canada's recent employment numbers were juiced by the Trudeau bump, which is to say that he hired lots of federal workers to ensure re-election.

Why post this bs on here ? The Canadian economy is successfully shifting from an over dependence on resources to new sectors like new IT. Any recovery in Alberta's Oil economy is a bonus at this point we don't necessarily need it. In terms of government, we appear to be leaner then the US and our federal deficit is a fraction of the US on a pro rated basis. This despite universal health care and far less risk on social services then the US has.

Basically, anything negative you can say about Canada exists in the US as well and you are in a less stable situation then we are. I can't see much to complain about here in Canada we're in great shape as the crisis in 2008/2009 illustrated; that crisis barely touched us in any real ways. Always room for improvement but honestly the US has far bigger issues right now then we have.

Canada drastically increased immigration and economy is benefiting for now from this surge. 1% of population is coming every year. It might be enough to entirely avoid recession for decades. Although such a huge population growth will result in infrastructure strain. I remember staying on highway for 4 hours trying to leave Toronto on summer Friday evenings 10 years ago. I suspect situation is not getting better.

There is already a ton of new infrastructure being built so any associated pain is already here but the gains are arriving as many projects are complete or will be within a few years. Basically, the negatives of traffic are only an issue if you don't have a flexible schedule and local knowledge. There isn't a lot of negatives really as the local economy is getting a huge boost in professional jobs that is perhaps unmatched in NA in recent years.

The only reason that "IT" is coming into Canada is because your developers are stupid af and work for $100K CAD and thinks that's some great shit.

30 cents of every Canadian healthcare dollar is borrowed.

Without the Trudeau federal workers bump, the economy lost something like 80K jobs.

I'm not saying Canada is in good or bad shape, these are just facts.

Your data is misleading and deeply flawed, but believe what you want. Certainly in the IT industry Canadians in general are considered to be highly reliable and skilled professionals who often represent better value then their American peers.

You are helping to illustrate some of the negatives of dealing with some Americans as your nation becomes more and more unstable and lost in bs. You've presented deeply flawed data and badly thought out theories. It means nothing. Business have to get on with business and for many top IT firms the prospect of hiring grounded, well educated Canadians is a good one.

Companies "moving" to Canada is nothing but a way to get more H1B allotments.

Toronto is easily the strongest growth market in IT in North America in recent years. If your vision is to farm out as many professional IT jobs as you can to this area, you are getting it done rather well.

1->2 = 100% but it's still 2
