I believe Canada's recent employment numbers were juiced by the Trudeau bump, which is to say that he hired lots of federal workers to ensure re-election.
Why post this bs on here ? The Canadian economy is successfully shifting from an over dependence on resources to new sectors like new IT. Any recovery in Alberta's Oil economy is a bonus at this point we don't necessarily need it. In terms of government, we appear to be leaner then the US and our federal deficit is a fraction of the US on a pro rated basis. This despite universal health care and far less risk on social services then the US has.
Basically, anything negative you can say about Canada exists in the US as well and you are in a less stable situation then we are. I can't see much to complain about here in Canada we're in great shape as the crisis in 2008/2009 illustrated; that crisis barely touched us in any real ways. Always room for improvement but honestly the US has far bigger issues right now then we have.
