Can We Talk About Entries

but, is this go against reward/risk 3:1 conventional wisdom?

nkhoi, conventional wisdom has taken more money than I care to count, lol.

I guess that was my lame attempt to tell Flashboy just about any entry method can be made profitable with proper money management.

I trade many systems and most have Win/Loss exceeding 80%. That MA Xover was the lowest on the totem pole. However, your correct, they all have one common characteristic, the STOP is greater than the Target.

money management will NEVER turn a losing (entry) method into a winning method. never. not in a million years.

do you mean one of the other managements?

trade, risk, and often the most important - self????

Hi Flash,

It is hard to evaluate the entries out of context. Trading is a bit like a balanced meal. An appetizer need to be balanced with the salad, wine, soup, entree etc.

If you were waiting for scalp or a breakout or whatever, the entry and exit are designed to minimize the risk, reap the reward, IN THAT SITUATION.

So besides the larger picture comments, I would not think that you will get much of a usuable response.

Garbage in - garbage out.

Cheers
