Calls to defund police?! Wtf epic fail

Or, the residents and business owners will arm themselves, and crime will drop.

Hard to do in many municipalities as private citizens are unable to purchase or unable to carry guns - and have many laws preventing them from protecting their homes/businesses sufficiently.

Check Castle Law Doctrine for those locations - but you will find they closely align with the places that are calling for a defunding of the police (because these policies traditionally align down the same democrat platform).

Might be taking guns out of hands of police who receive at least some training and asking private citizens with no training to start shooting up the place....

I say just follow the Europe model and not do police training like a vocation with a few weeks of instruction but treat it as a serious profession.

This is a bit difficult as European police don't have to deal with millions of illegal firearms on the street.

For now, Minneapolis seems to be the lead, and they are able to purchase/carry:

My comment wasn't meant to be mistaken as my position on the issue. It was more of a devil's advocate response.

I posted my position days earlier. IOW, I agree with you.

They still get better training than U.S. cops is my point.
