California dreamin

Quote from OPTIONAL777:

Is that something like 8 years of Bushonomy, where spending was increased, two wars were started, and a huge bailout of tarp money was given away, oil companies were granted favors while oil prices went to $150.00 a barrel and taxes were cut with no trickle down in play, when the economy essentially being a false economy based on a false housing market and endless refinances?

You goons are too much...just too much.

1. Yes

2. 0bama put/ing Bush to shame in spending department

3. Wars 0bama promised to pull out of

4. I disagreed with TARP, but the stimu=less was worse

5. BP donoted the most many EVER to 0bama's campaign

6. 0bama more of the same, except on steriods

hell yes. what we need is a good old fashioned tea party republican as president. they know how to cut spending. maybe like rick perry from texas. oops:

when faced with certain disaster, I'll take anything else.

Obama's sneak entitlement increase alone could more than fund the wars.

The offspring of Stalin and Marie Antoinette wants to kill off all the old unproductive people because his buddies won't be able to afford another BMW to go with their hairpieces. The answer is to tax corporations and return to 90 percent top bracket, redistribute that money to investments in infrastructure and renewable energy getting people back to work providing incomes for demand that would refuel the whole economy. We can't have an economy based on nothing but wealth management for the investment class and catering.

Quote from Mav88:

For some reason the enormity of liberal waste is unseen. It dwarfs both wars and the entire DoD. For some reason 20 million ungrateful money sucking minimum wage lettuce pickers, 30 million overweight medicaid recipients, and countless 80 year olds on deathbeds costing $300K a year- all are invisible.

$2T alone last year was spent on the elderly, probably about that amount was wasted on trying to educate inner city minorities by creating everything from 3 free meals a day to daycare for teenage mothers... and for what? what's the return on investment? are they the ones creating the new industries and wealth needed to ensure future economic security? are they producing new generations of engineers and doctors, or are they spitting out a few athletes and rap stars while the rest whine about racism? Half of all kids, are now them, they are the future, and Cali thinks a poly sci degree is the ticket.

You folks are gonna get a rude slap in the face very soon. The economy is getting more complex, the competition is fast kicking our ass, and we can't export football.

This federal budget is right behind california with brutal cuts and tax raises are but 2-3 years away, the declining living standards are setting in now. Obama says he is gonna keep the bush tax cuts, all the while he is jacking up social welfare through the ceiling, enough to fight 2 more wars permanently. Tell me this isn't some kind of liberal american suicide. The IMF thinks we are worse than Greece, I'm starting to believe them.

An interesting question...

Who feels a greater sense of entitlement from the system?

Someone on welfare (one extreme) or the wealthy who have the money and power to influence the pols and the system?

Of course Opt the answer lies somewhere inbetween; in the details. The exception always is tossed out as the rule for how
kids who've been brought up by parents who didn't give a shit
don't and can't pick themselves up by the bootstraps. Yea, they could go to Community College and in large part its their fault they don't but what the ghetto does to a spirit noone here has a clue about. Of course theres Jerry Rice or somebody who escaped it but the workplace is a fickle place that if you've got an ounce of non conformity in you it'll rape you because of it.

The concept of welfare is less than a century old, but old money has an entitlement mentality that goes back hundreds of years...

That old money has set up institutions and bought off the right
influence so that any thought of "Storming the Bastille" is out of the question; its why the sanctions and embargos that never let an opposing economic approach ever get off the ground works.

The cloned liberal retread repeating worn old cliches....
been done, being done, doesn't work.

There are so many levels of stupidity there, it would be a full time job just refuting you.

Entitled to what exactly? system not defined.
Liberals and their welfare thralls feel entitled to other peoples money and wealthy feel entitled to their own.

Charity should exist, there are definitely cases. Liberal welfare however is a mental disease. An entitlement mentality with no sense of responsibility.

Stats have shown over and over again that most wealthy are first generation. What creative people want is simply freedom, they want to be entitled to you getting out of their way. The 1% of wealthy traders want you to leave them alone. Bill Gates wants to make money.

It's interesting too to think about the publically rich who obvious feel entitled. The Kennedys, Hollywood, music stars, etc. they are mostly liberal.

Behind the scenes we have small business owners, engineers, doctors, and I hate to say it, but traders. The first three are the ones who make the economy work and they are moderate to conservative.

Universities give another interesting microcosm of people. I have first hand knowledge of this one. The useless people like poli sci profs are very leftist. The engineering schools are very conservative. physics departments are left on the surface, but when you dig deeper, very pragmatic centrists.... like me.

Bottom line: the less productive you are, the more liberal you tend to be. The poorer ones then feel they have a right to OPM. Not a rule, just a tendency.

It feels good when I help others by:

increasing welfare.

increasing taxes on greedy corporations.

increasing taxes on the greedy productive.

I know how to help others. You have to help those on welfare. I think you should pay more taxes.

That makes me feel good to help others.
