They don't have the money to close their own budget and they have a huge unfunded pension liability. It is hand waving.

I'm not sure how many could make a legitimate case for being descendants of slaves. Not sure how that would ever work unless its just reparations for anyone with dark skin pigmentation.

They might have to use a chromagraph to determine who is dark enough. I myself am rapidly turning very dark lately and might be able to pass that test at some point. Get me some reparations baby!

Cutting taxes does not automatically produce more tax revenue it often leads to a net loss of revenue:

At current tax rates, the direct revenue loss from cutting tax rates almost always exceeds the indirect gain from increased activity or reduced tax avoidance. Cutting tax rates can, however, partly pay for itself. How much depends on how people respond to tax changes.

Cutting tax rates thus almost never pays for itself in full.


It is just what politicians say to get votes.

My understanding is that the gap between Pelosi and the GOP for agreeing on a stimulus deal is approximately $700b for bailing out Illinois and California and others... literally funding their pension liabilities.

If that happens I am going to lose my mind and write-in Shecky Greene on November. I wanted to register Independent but wouldn't be able to vote in primary elections in Florida so I checked off Republican with distaste. I'm sick of the lot of them.

Right now I'm wondering if I can get to the store without drowning to get stuff to make shrimp ceviche with avocado. There was 7 inches of rain overnight and it was an impressive show to a west coast boy.
