Quote from cdcaveman:
Gold takes a shit.. i could say i saw that coming.. but i won't because i didn't put any money on it..
I saw it coming a long time ago
That's why I sold all mine at 1340 and recomended everybody else do the same
Now I keep 10 to 20% in GLD
it's not a money maker
just a stabalizer
but you are correct. This is a good time to get a read on Gold vs the dollar, and also gold and the dollar vs crude
but this guy wants to talk about copper, and I don't like to hijack
the funny thing about copper. 100% of it is recycled. So hard to read.
For instance, what is the affect of Hurricane Sandy on copper?
Hard to know, since none of it was lost, just displaced for a little while.
Like I said, go down there to Douglas AZ where it comes across, and down there to Mexico and just look at the deal. It's not that much different from looking at the old mines in Denver.
Until something changes (or more accurately goes back to the way it was) I'd hardly call it a vibrant industry.
As goes alcoa, so probably goes copper.
