All the Bush apologists do is blame every problem Bush faces on Clinton, but don't look to what Nixon/Ford did to set the table for Carter.

If you are placing the blame of inflation and high interest rates squarely on President Carter during his tenure, then I am afraid that you are living in a clue-free environment. On the plus side, it must be fairly blissful.
those things were partly caused by high oil prices. guess what. we are there again with oil prices. will we see the same result?

I think it is only fair to blame presidents for conditions that they created rather than those that they inherited or otherwise had no direct control over.

Bush is no genius, but I do feel safer with him at the helm than Carter. The man was dangerously delusional, filled with sanctimonious moral superiority but unable to make the tough decisions. Classic round peg in square hole situation. The voters agreed and tossed him after one term in favor of Ronald Reagan, who they correctly recognized as a real leader.
