New Orleans residents may easily disagree with you together with people who used to work in the WTC. Something tells me they don't think they'd be worse off with Carter. If you accuse Carter of high inflation and the hostage crisis which did happen on his watch you might as well accuse Bush of being asleep at the wheel on 9/11, losing an entire city and starting a war against a wrong country. carter was terrible. imo, the worst of the recent lot.
nixon, from a management perspective wasn't that bad, and like carter he was among the smartest (not that this is very important in a president - beyond say a 110 iq or so)
nixon had (to put it mildly) ethical issues. disgraceful
frankly, nixon - on a policy basis, i agree - was FAR FAR from a conservative. frankly, he was more liberal, and arguably even "progressive" than many candidates the dems field today.
the left (at the time) hated the image more than his actual policies.
i think carter is proof positive that a man can be moral, very intelligent, and well meaning, and be a horrible president
and then of course there was the whole killer bunny thing :l

When we look back after his days as president are over, it will be a no contest decision that he was the worst ever.
