Bush, Worst President Of Last 50 Years?

Quote from BloodTrader:

Another stunning example of Bush's incompetence and duplicity. There is plenty of on-the-record evidence showing that Bush wanted war with Iraq and was just looking for the excuses to allow it. What a lying sack of sht.

exactly and will continue to do so. We cannot allow our way of life to be threatened. The future of civilization resides in our way, not the terrorists.

This is what happens when you elect a dry drunk psychopathic liar for President....

Weaker minds have difficulty with a strong leader. Weaker minds are unable to comprehend the bigger picture.

You obviously have no rear view mirror of history.

Every great empire thought they could control the world.....

not trying to control the world. Just defending our way. A rear view mirror would be the way we have been so slow to defend in the past. That has gotten us nowhere. In fact, it got us 9/11. It's ok for us to have different viewpoints--that is our way--your opinion is extremely shortsighted and wrong, but you are entitled to it

History bears out my vision.....

The USA is expanding their territory of influence, just as so many other empires did in the past, and not a single one of them did not over extend themselves in the process.

Look who took down the mighty British Empire. It wasn't a great super power, it was a process of erosion piece by piece as they had over extended their reach, and ran out of money, allies and resources by which to maintain their control over others.

Same with the Roman empire, Russian empire, etc.

As insipid an argument as I'd expect from a twenty something Euro-igno. "Territory of influence." What the hell is that? We've been influencing the world for a century. We're an influence in Egypt and Pakistan. If we were trying to conquer other nations, then your analogy would perhaps be more apropos.

As insipid a response as I would expect from a flag waver neocon.

The spreading of democracy at the point of a gun, prompted by the power the corporations exert over government is really nothing new.

Oh, yes we claim to be spreading democracy, but in fact what we are spreading is 21st century imperialism, coupled with a crusade to spread our Christianity, evidenced by our rejection of democratically elected leaders who don't share our value system.

Seriously, examine what has led to the fall of the great empires, and the path we are on is too similar to be coincidental....

The real test, which I am sure you don't have the balls to take, is imagine every step we have taken was being taken by the Soviet Union in the mid 80s.

Think Reagan would have stood back and let the USSR bully their way around the middle east?

Of course it is imperialism, corporate imperialism, as this is driven by the demand of corporate America to acquire cheap labor, natural resources, new customers, etc.

You do not need to own a country, to secure the spoils....

Someone would have to be a total moron not to follow the money and see who has benefited under Bush....
