brokers who allow under 1000$ deposits?

I'm sure I don't have the experience that you do, but at least I can tell which options have a 1 cent spread. As for my quote, I have a spreadsheet full of my trades, and would you believe that there is actually a certain R:R that stands out as being profitable, and much more so, than other combinations? If all I ever did was put on my trades and stick to this, there is a nice edge there. So tell me, why am I going to meddle with this?

If you want to show us your stats, by all means, go ahead, but this entire website is littered with people calling tops, calling trades, all sorts of shit, and they get it wrong just as much as they get it right. So if you ask me, putting on a trade with a stop and target and just waiting seems like its too easy, but its also part of a winning strategy for many.

I'd advise you to stop feeding the troll more ammo. He's just here to take a shot at ya.

But they approach trading like degenerate gamblers. Is this not apparent by now?

Guys, please stop comparing trading to gambling, like Blackjack. They are so far apart the comparison is nothing but damaging to trading. Please, please, please... Never compare trading to gambling. Thank you.

Nah. I think maybe you have hit the sauce by now, because your first sentence in that above quote makes kind of no sense. Either that or ye be really tired.

I agree with the points both sides of this argument have made. I agree with both Zzzzzz and Gotcha et. al. in thinking about it logically. But since options have come into the discussion, I am thrown for a loop, because I cannot stand them, hate them, don't understand them. Thus, I muse, and just watch from the sidelines again. Carry on.

I'm sorry that the thread got totally sidetracked.

I'm not going to say that blindly buying cheap calls or puts is going to make a guy a fortune, but I'm also not going to say that it's the worse thing in the world. There are far better ways to play options than simply doing this kind of thing, but per usual on ET, nobody can have a frigging conversation without a whole bunch of troll b.s.

Spello and corrected. Thanks for pointing out

All you do is encourage beginners or the desperate to put money where it really does not belong. That you define as helping? Shameful

Agreed, but perhaps some newbies will appreciate the voice of reason.

You're right, they should save up 10k instead of 1k, and they should trade the ES, using a $200 stop instead of a $20 stop. Then when they lose 10k, they will feel better having tried playing with the ES that has less slippage and better commissions, rather than losing 1k and working with options that are a bit more clunky, but just as good at figuring out if they know what they're doing or not when real money is on the line.
