Broke, Living In A Basement, With "Negative Savings": This Is What Millennials Spend Their Money On

If you shoot a criminal in your home [in Nebraska] your are likely to be indicted, and you have not protection from civil suits for defending yourself in your home.

Sad. Home-invading perps should be shot dead, immediately. There should be no "rights" nor "considerations" for the felonious.

I won't shoot animals on my property... not even the ones like woodpeckers that damage my house and cause me the expense and inconvenience of repairs. (On our property we've got deer, coyotes, ground hogs, rabbits, squirrels, bull snakes, wood peckers, hawks, owls, magpies, doves, pigeons, crows and more... and I don't shoot any of them.)

But let a perp bust through my door... he's gonna get a round in his chest and another in his head... if I can manage. (And with CO's governor DICKenlooper welcoming 500K illegals into our state, the odds requiring home defense seem to have escalated.)

were you stressed out? maybe you could have gone with a temporary insanity defense too.
did not someone try to use the rich kid defense about a year ago?

I once lived in a 9000 sq ft single level home full of art work, had two mercedes and belonged to several social clubs--- and I was broke at the time. Does this apply to me? surf

LOL! I am far from a rich kid-- more like a poor kid. Yes, i was stressed after the excitement wore off, it was a very interesting situation which I will share with you if we ever meet. Back then I was of the mind, if i can think it, i should have it--reality be damned. So with Tony Robbins at my side ( figuratively) I started making bids on homes owned by industrialists of the mid-20th century-- found one no one wanted and after 8 years on the market, the huge contemporary in the neighborhood of Georgian Colonials was mine. The art was so large, the former owners placed us as overseers of it since it really couldn't be removed from the house without a tremendous amount of labor----- I was king for awhile and so it goes.... surf

What in Florida law makes 5.56 or 7.62 a reasonable choice?

In Colorado, you can't shoot unless under immanent threat... meaning, "breaching your domicile"... and those high-powered weapons are too strong for that. (??)

You want a home defense weapon? How about a Henry lever action .357 Magnum carbine? (Henry has a .44 Magnum version as well.) LOTS of thump at a home defense range.. and ammo <$.50/round for JHP. (One expert reviewer says, "everybody should have one of these behind the kitchen door".)

And for less than 1/2 the cost of a Henry, one can have a Hi-Point carbine in 9mm, .40, and .45 cal.... not as potent as the magnums, of course, but nonetheless very effective and accurate within the round's range.

Funny you asked about the .357 lever action. I'm looking for one now. Was IMPOSSIBLE to find during the Onazi gun grab attempt! Whomever told you the above, is a guy I'd listen to. Very good advice! You should see how much muzzle velocity a rifled .357 mag creates! Wow!

And speaking of FL gunmaker, Hi-point, I'm actually impressed with their stuff. They're quite under rated. They've got a shotgun I'm kicking around between this Kel Tec: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...act=3&page=1&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=0CCgQMygKMAo

I could go along with that for "1st choice"... carbine as 2nd choice, semi-auto pistol next.

My concern... if you had to fire a 12 gauge indoors with "00" and didn't have ears, you might make yourself permanently deaf. Personally, I have ear muffs stationed with the guns. Would prefer to put them on if situation allows.

You should hear M4's (AR-15's), indoors with no time to stuff ear plugs.

Here in the northeast, the communists, oops, I mean the liberals really cracked down on what you're allowed to defend your home with. In a few years I wouldn't be surprised if they narrow it down to a slingshot and rock throwing.

Which is why the north east, and CA will fall first when the shtf.

It's a dream to fire them indoors with no ear protection. Just make sure you're using a suppressor with subsonic ammo. Click, click, click....hell the impact makes more noise!

I believe there are 1 or 2 states where you are required by law to run from a threat.

Where I was with the State Police, the law was the person needed to make an effort to evade to safety before firing. Was complete and udder lunacy! Oh, and speaking of the State Police, I have a badge, and ID that says "former member" on it. I got stopped the other night in a small town, and even after the cop figured out she was wrong, I got two tickets. Not one, but two fucking tickets! And if I described how, and why I was stopped, you'd fall down!:mad: Female cop was looking for DUI's, and literally stopped every car that came from a local restaurant/bar/grill. I don't drink anymore, and was fumed as a little nazi Germany was thrown on my Son, my girlfriend, and me. Her reason for the stop? I was driving 41 in a 45 zone. Yeah, ok. And when I told her I had a Glock on me, and showed her my badge, and federal permit, she treated me even worse. Brotherhood among cops in 2014? Fucking lol!!!! What's that??!? And yeah, I'm hiring a Lawyer for this one! Problem is, it will cost me hundreds to get the traffic tickets dismissed, and show what a dirty cop that cunt was. Either way, I lose.
