Seems counterintuitive. Can you give an example?
Not that counterintuitive, it's been mentioned before and it's also my impression that being lean makes someone looks more muscular, a lean 5ft10 around 165/175lbs following either a Bodybuilding Physique or calisthenics program will look good topless with well define muscles, put a tee shirt on the definition disappears and he looks like a skinny dude, to my taste he is still a good 40lbs too light before the extra fat - I'd rather carry a few % extra fat and a 50/60lbs heavier frame, looks much bigger in a tee shirt - I'm 244 for 5ft11 atm, those guys look much smaller with clothes on, but the better definition changes the perspective with clothes off (plus I tend to see myself too small most of the time, yeah I know, there's a name to that condition...)
Pretty sure the smaller frame is healthier btw, but that wasn't the issue.
