Brief high intensity bodyweight workout at home without equipment

Seems counterintuitive. Can you give an example?

Not that counterintuitive, it's been mentioned before and it's also my impression that being lean makes someone looks more muscular, a lean 5ft10 around 165/175lbs following either a Bodybuilding Physique or calisthenics program will look good topless with well define muscles, put a tee shirt on the definition disappears and he looks like a skinny dude, to my taste he is still a good 40lbs too light before the extra fat - I'd rather carry a few % extra fat and a 50/60lbs heavier frame, looks much bigger in a tee shirt - I'm 244 for 5ft11 atm, those guys look much smaller with clothes on, but the better definition changes the perspective with clothes off (plus I tend to see myself too small most of the time, yeah I know, there's a name to that condition...)
Pretty sure the smaller frame is healthier btw, but that wasn't the issue.

Fair enough. Too each his own, I suppose. I prefer lean over fat, and slim over stocky, but it's a personal choice.

As I've written before, the most impressive bodybuilder for me was Frank Zane, who was described by another poster a while back in this way:

And he was still bigger than a normal person can reasonably be without the assistance of drugs.

I used it for a few months but I got bored with it and moved on to something new.
Assuming a routine has sufficient merit, I can't see how it can get boring unless it isn't hard enough. Challenge is seldom boring.

That said, I'm not particularly enamored of the routine in the video.

I agree that nothing beats an ice cream cone (or even a frozen yogurt cone) on a hot summer day. And I'd even allow for the saturated fat. But I just can't bring myself to have that much sugar. A number of years ago, I used to buy tubs of chocolate or cappuccino-flavored frozen yogurt and cones for just such occasions. But I stopped because of the sugar. Then a couple of years ago, I bought some in a moment of weakness. But I found it far too sweet, since I had weened myself off sugar.

Presently, I cut up a banana into slices and freeze it. Once frozen, I allow it to thaw just enough so that the slices aren't hard but are firmer than normal. It is such a treat; almost like ice cream (for someone who hasn't had ice cream in some time and can't remember it clearly). Give it a try and tell me what you think.
A tasty treat. Not quite ice cream, but pretty good. Helps that I like bananas.

Yeah, ime watching too many strongman videos doesn't help either - my diet has seldom been very strict but it seems to have gone slightly South lately :(
A bunch of lean guys with great abs at the gym I work out btw ( not older guys though). Looks very good the shirt off, but too skinny for my taste the shirt on.
Haven't seen big lean guys in real life for quite a while, this would help my motivation to get leaner.
There is also another factor, memory of what we used to look like. That mental image is burning into our brains and what we see in the mirror today is being compared to that memory. I suppose if one never really had much of a physique that wouldn't be a problem, but for others it's a mental hurdle to being satisfied. At 22 I was 6'5" and weighed 205 with a 33" waist. At 40 I weighed 215 but had a 36" waist. WTF? Now at 67 I weigh 235 and have a "tight" 38" waist. BIG WTF? People tell me I look great' "for my age" being the qualifier. All I see is the fat fuck compared to the 22 year old.

And if you freeze the slices of an unripened banana, you have a resistant starch. I don't like my bananas too green, but I don't like them ripe, either. Somewhere in between. At the very least, you're getting a snack loaded with nutrients.

Asked and answered?
Must all of this weight be concentrated in my torso? It's just not fair.
