This is nonsense. There’s literally tens of thousands of people fully qualified to be a Supreme Court justice in America. It would not hurt to add different life experiences and perspectives to the bench.
Anybody who believes justices are selected for their juris prudence or work in the legal field are kidding themselves. These are ideological appointments.
Donald Trump was literally given a list of pre-selected justices to choose from and no one batted an eye. Talk about being a puppet to the “powers that be.”

Not by the standard that is applied when affirmative action is not present. Most candidates already sit on the federal bench, which narrows it down to hundreds. Most have law degrees from Harvard and Yale, and significant clerkship experience. The real pool is a few dozen, not tens of thousands.
Maybe it was because the Trump list of pre-selected justices was based on judicial record and philosophy rather than skin color.

You've made all of this up in your mind. Just because we’ve gotten into a habit of selecting persons with a certain pedigree doesn’t mean that’s the qualification standard.
So skin color is somehow different than gender? What’s your beef? If they’re qualified then they are qualified. This has nothing to do with title vii.
The Constitution doesn't list any of the above as requirements.

The difference is that in campaigns and public statements we heard Reagan and Trump emphasize the judicial philosophy element.
We know that Joe will get around to it at some point. But from the beginning and until now it has all been about the skin color.
It's like the Lloyd Austin scenario. Biden has never been and still is not able to recall his name or what was special about his views on military matters. He always acted as though pointing out skin color was all he needed to do. Then it turned out that Austin was a complete fuck-up.
And we went through that with skin color Kamala who also turned out to be a complete fuck up. But, hey, Biden figured he had done his job just by getting the skin color piece nailed down.
Given that history, citizens are totally justified in giving extra scrunity to Biden's decisionmaking process. In addition to the fact that many of the black women that he gravitates toward are anti-American Che Guevera loons who hate American. Nothing something people had to worry about in regard to Reagan and Trump choices regardless of gender or skin color.
