What would you do if someone broke into your house unannounced at the middle of the night tough guy?
"Oh haha it's just the police" wouldn't even cross your mind because you'd be so doped up on adrenaline you'd be shooting first and asking questions later.
That's why no knock raids should be illegal except in the most extreme and dire circumstances. Not only do the police have a habit of choosing the wrong house the consequences are almost always deadly.
