Breonna Taylor sculpture smashed by vandals in California

What did the statues of the confederacy do to the people that smashed them? Nothing, statues can't do anything. It's what they symbolize, right. So this head case gets offended by what this statue symbolizes. What's that you ask? Who the fuck knows and therein lies the problem. One persons just cause is anothers goofy butt hurt. Point is when we accept vandalism as appropriate expression of percieved feelings of injustice then we get it across the board.
What did they do to them, or what do they represent? If my ancestors were oppressed by some historical figure then, yeah, I would be offended that his likeness would be exalted in some square to this day. If you are an American and you saw the likeness of a seditious historical figure exalted in some square then, yeah, YOU should be offended. Meanwhile, what did Breonna Taylor do to offend ANYONE? What does she represent that offends ANYONE?

What did the Elk do?

Start by asking @fan27 whether he thinks racism exists in Murica. And then drill down from there.

You'll eventually and quickly get your answer.
Of course racism exists as it always will to some extent. Just as there will always be pedophiles, rapists, murderers, etc.

Still not sure the Elk statue has anything to do with the “BPOE”...... but to your assertion yeah they’re a bunch of bad boys.

From your link.
The current requirements include belief in God, American citizenship, willingness to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, willingness to salute the flag of the United States of America, willingness to support the laws and Constitution of the United States of America, being of good character and being at least 21 years of age.

What's all the excitement over the elk?

What's your argument regarding the Elk statue?

Stupid people do stupid stuff.

Everyone assumes the Breonna Taylor statue was defaced with some racist intent....... because it fits today’s racially dividing narrative.

Like the Elk statue, it may have been just been a simple case of vandalism.

Or you tell me why the Elk was targeted.

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A 120-year-old statue of an elk has been removed from downtown Portland after protesters lit a fire underneath it Wednesday night.

The statue, which sits atop the David P. Thompson Fountain, has been the target of graffiti and fires during the weeks of protests against systemic racism, police brutality and the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.

The elk and fountain were donated to the city by one-time mayor David P. Thompson in 1900 to honor elk that once roamed the Willamette Valley., The Oregonian/OregonLive reported. They sit near the Justice Center, the focal point of nightly protests.

I see.
I didn't know anything about a problem with elks either. But Wallet capitalized "Elk." And so I looked up the Elk Club, and there it was. I could be way off and out of context. But Wallet's capitalizing of Elk made me think of the club rather than the animal itself.

Of course, if the statue represented nothing more than an elk and was defaced and damaged just for the sake of defacing and damaging, then it is a shame.
