Boycott NIKE!

That’s beyond the pale. Pat Tillman’s death was a tragic accident.

Beyond the pale? Watch out who you try to shoulder ;) I'll beat your ass with skinny little VZ as a warm up.

I am not a conspiracy guy, I know that burning jet fuel does not melt steel but it does weaken it.

There is a difference between a retarded conspiracy theory the likes the right spew like vomit and actual concern that one of the three main possibilities was intentional homicide. Even if we may never know what actually happened we need to keep in mind that is concerning why we are stuck with that.

If you know more than his parents who still held that they did not know which of the scenarios had played out and held that murder was still a possibility, after both hearings you know more than they apparently do.

"Maybe it was an accident, probably it was an accident but..." from his father from around 2010?

There is nothing simple and straightforward here.

Beyond the mistakes of the higher-ups before, the local commanders, inexperienced troops, there was an aggressive and persistent cover-up spanning the immediate aftermath and it seems onwards.

The medical examiner however made an unusual move to cast doubt on the version of the 'tragic accident' and this was never made sense of I gather.

I was told about all of this this in 2014 as the news that one of the guys (Elliot I believe) had suggested it was him however my friend said this still did not explain the medical examiners findings as he was too far away.

So not "beyond the pale" and your emphatic reduction to 'tragic accident' is quite open to ridicule Destriero.

I have not spent hours looking at this. Other than some quick detail checking I'm going on the outline of my buddy who is a very old-school serious man and was a Master Sergeant in the Rangers at the time. But he is someone I would trust.

When Nike first supported the protesters in Sept 2017 their stock was around 53.00,today its 82.00 :D
Its actually below $80 now. $4 Billion in market-cap has evaporated so far today.
Their quarter ended 8/31. Earnings 9/25. Interesting timing.
$83 is going to stand for awhile as a high-water mark I suspect.
There's no catalyst to add now other than for the DOW tracking funds.
Why take the risk?

Do what?! Prove he was murdered? You're an idiot.

That letter is one man's political narrative about a war in which his country was (is) engaged. He makes some valid points but regardless... the issue we are discussing here is the nature of his brother's death. Nowhere in that letter does he state his brother was "murdered".

No one is debating there was an initial coverup. There was, and it was a grave mistake on the Army's part, but a Congressional investigation and the Army's own CID both determined beyond a doubt his death was an accident.

You clowns suddenly want to embrace conspiracy theories when it works for you.

Just saw this.

VZ, lets face it, you are not as smart a man as you think by a wide margin.

Remember when I was mentioning Jackson Pollack and you jumped in that you had seen one in person and really figured there was a hidden message?

I'd say you saw a magic-eye stereogram in a mall in the 90s and on seeing the drip-painting you though hey, that looks like one of them stereograms! There must be a hidden message. I picture Bill or Ted movie scenes a lot when I try to discern your thought processes. Difference is in the movie they were somehow correct a lot of the time.

As I said before, there seems to be doubt that does not fall into the putrid conspiracy theorist vomit bucket.

After all the investigations the parents themselves (who seem bright people) were still not ruling out homicide. It is not disrespectful or conspiracy looney to carry that in one's mind.

Work to do.

I tried to order a DPZ pizza Saturday for pick-up during the NCAA games.... the wait was an incredible 1:45. There's a Papa Johns thats a bit farther for me.... called them and it was ready in 10 minutes.
Moral of the story.... this political sh*t DOES impact the bottom line in a big way. Nike is going to lose sales over this, there is no doubt. I can't believe how incredibly stupid this move was from a business standpoint.
Moral of the story...if you watch tv and play on the Internet all day you sleep on pizza boxes and wake up with pepperoni stuck to your ear.

They are going to eat shit on this one hardcore, you know what NFler actually sacrificed everything for the country they believe in?

What’s the point of comparing Tillman to Kapernick?

25 Billion in debt. A TTM PE of 70. 20 X EBITDA...
It was overvalued before this.
Put politics aside for a second. Do really think this will help sales? I don't.
They'll put a floor under the stock near term with their buyback alotments.... so its not going to tank. Its certainly not a good short today, or this week for that matter. Your call spread however won't go anywhere.

In the short term I think the stock price will go up and this dip is a nice time to buy.
