Bond rally nearing an end?

Quote from steveosborne:

They dipped right after 3:00 when bonds closed. Does it mean that before that money was flowing from bonds to stocks?

But then they rallied, not sure anyone knows what they are doing in the pits these days.

When the bonds were heading down the morning the NQ (growth) was selling off, and the ES (cyclicals) were rallying. Go figure!

Riskarb,

nice strategy to be able trade round the clock

Thanks, it's an easier trade for electronic markets since you don't have to work the call and the put.

Checked the MOVE index yesterday, ya, we are definitely down there again, looks like some slow steady grind ahead, with a few bumps along the way...

LOL.

I was trying to throw cold water over the impression that the Consumer Confidence Index was at an all time high. Looking at this chart, you can see that confidence is not that high.

I'm sorry - that was an off the cuff statement earlier. We all know better... especially me. My bad.

I don't think BSB and G7 have different perspectives on USD, by the way. He just wants the decline to be orderly, as has been said.
