Bitcoin, Currencies and Fragility- Taleb

This lacks context. Look at the overall picture. His funds have been a proven failure over time.

Edit: agree w/destriero's comment. That posted return is basically meaningless.

And incredibly unethical. He was also appropriating returns from outside funds which had applied the tail-overlay. Two peas in a pod.

He's been dead wrong about BTC for over a decade now.

1. I don't think Taleb has been a crypto critic for 10 years. Maybe 3, although I could be wrong.
2. Cryptos crashed like 5 times in the last 10 years. So he has been right a few times.
3. Madoff survived for how long? :)

In short, the length of the ponzi itself doesn't mean it is not a ponzi.

Was curious how good Universa actually did. Not reliable sources (aka youtube) but i've seen numbers around 80% CAGR for over a 10 year reporting period. That's pretty impressive.

Let's teach critical thinking because it is a hobby of mine...

His funds have been a proven failure over time.

I don't like Taleb or as I call him Captain Obvious. (just a note, otherwise irrelevant) But his funds' performance has nothing to do with the subject, that being criticism of cryptos.

In better part of the country where they teach critical thinking what you are doing is called shooting the messenger or strawman argument. Look them up.

I understand, your inability to deal with his criticism frustrates you, but such is life and the sooner you embrace life's little facts, the happier you will be in the future. Now have a nice Sunday and educate yourself for fuck's sake...
