It really had a bad look to it right from the get go and although Joe is a disaster the hope was that his handlers would be savvy types. Nope.
I say right from the get-go because WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING MIXING A BUNCH OF DOMESTIC SHIITE AND PROBLEMS WITH HIS RATINGS IN WITH A PRESS CONFERENCE ON UKRAINE? No one gives a fuck that he and Kamala are going to get out to more VFW's and senior centers to improve their ratings.

Do you think if Reagan were in office and Russia was doing this that he would come out and take questions about domestic stuff and lecture us all about how he is going to get out of DC more and listen more to "think tanks and academia" in order to improve his ratings? This is a "Leader of the Free World" moment. Instead we toggle all over the place about how he taught con law for 20 years, and then infrastructure, and then how America and Republicans and two Democrats suck.
And yes that may mean that Joe would need to come back today or tomorrow and do another press conference on the domestic issues. That is kind of how the job works. Instead of hiding in the basement for six months and then coming out with a massive shake n' bake bag filled with all your grievances, excuses, and goals for the next three years. His handlers should have him in and out there with a short, crisp, American, leadership presentation and explaining why Ukraine does or does not matter to Americans.
Instead, we watch all his handlers standing there feeling happy about how their crazy uncle finally showed up for a press conference and the longer he went the better even if it got batshit crazy the longer it went.

would be the respectable thing honestly. I knew he couldn't get anything done and thought he'd give the "bipartisanship" BS a month or two before he'd just go HAM on the obstructionists. Wasn't hopeful he'd rally the votes, but going down w/o swinging is pathetic.
This goes against just about everything you were going on about when the guy was elected, though.
