Biden's press conference was a fiasco. It mirrors, unfortunately, his record over the past year. There is a long strings of failures -- the Afghanistan withdrawal, the U.S. southern border, addressing Russia & the Ukraine, and the long overdue plan to deliver Covid home test kits and masks to households way too late for the foreseeable Omicron wave, All in an environment where significant inflation is hurting "main street's" pocketbooks. There should be little surprise that Biden's approval ratings have dropped to being little more than the core Democratic constituency who are providing any positive support.

A lot will depend on Covid but we are talking about a ceiling of something like 45% approval. Biden has a long slog in front of him.
Just to show how hollow the Republican Party actually is, in the cartoon there is a list of things the republicans are for but where is the legislation to match? They might as well be for warp speed and replicators, world peace and curing cancer.
