Biden's 3 trillion infrastructure plan

hardball? Please, they've been treating him w/kid gloves. Damage in the media is not nearly far enough. Biden should be siccing DOJ on his daughter over her pharma BS and any dark money "twisting" his arm. Biden has no stick to speak of. The provisions in the reconciliation bill poll fairly high amongst constituents, including West Virginians. Manchin is NOT representing those that elected him.

Manchin is what Manchin is. He’s a democrat from a poor, conservative state. He has sensibilities other democrats don’t consider. Are they bygone sensibilities, yes, but they are his. What needed to be done was exactly what you eluded to, getting the message out to West Virginians of what Manchin is holding back on. What went wrong was framing him as anti-progressive because that works in his favor.

Don't you just love the extreme liberal Democrat, mano a mano. Extreme liberals still do not realize that they do not have any leverage? The real power if they choose to exercise it remains in the hands of Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema. I will continue to urge these two patriotic Senators to support only reasonable policies that serve the interests of majority of Americans. Joe Biden and his legions of extreme liberal sycophants can all pound sand. It is good entertainment though, this Democrat clown show. GWB and other ET trolls pay attention. You fools might learn something.

I very much doubt they're "his". He's just one of a plethora of bought and paid for legislators

A billionaire who supported Trump in 2020 says he talks to Joe Manchin every week and urges him to 'stay tough'

So the update on this is there is an agreement on a revenue stream from businesses that report over a billion dollars in profits by instituting a minimum tax of 15%. That’s good. Mind blowing that there has not been a minimum tax for this long.

But Manchin is holding off a wealth or gains tax because he doesn’t believe in taxing billionaires.

Fun fact: there isn’t a single person who lives in West Virginia who is worth a billion dollars.

How does this tax work . Is it just mark to market at the end of each year or is it on gains
If gains is it only from the high point

This is the right message. It makes you scratch your head trying to figure out how Joe Manchin is trying to do what is best for West Virginia but opposes a wealth tax to help the poor and working people of West Virginia:

It just does not make any sense that a senator from West Virginia would not support a tax on billionaires. It’s probably the easiest non-controversial thing to do.

I think the idea was gains held for 3 years over $1 billion.

Try to understand that Jeff Bezos pays tax on $84,000 of income a year. He lives off of loans he pays interest on indefinitely.

Also, his corporation pays zero taxes so we the United States actually paid 23% to 25% of the cost for his trip to space.
